When the Golden Bear himself designs your course, you know you're in for something special. Jack Nicklaus created the original 18 holes (Mountain and Lake courses) in 1993, with a challenging Valley nine added in 2005. Set in dramatic rocky hills near Cha-Am, this championship venue has hosted the Thailand Open. Large bunkers, ample water hazards, and demanding greens require smart strategy on every hole.

Tips for Golfing in Hua Hin

Book Ahead

Popular courses (Black Mountain, Pineapple Valley) fill quickly in high season. Book 1–2 weeks ahead Nov–Feb. Weekdays are less crowded.

Caddie Tips

Standard caddie tip is ฿400–500 per round. Caddies are mandatory at all courses and provide valuable local knowledge – especially green reads!

Start Early

First tee times (6:00–7:00 AM) beat the heat. You'll finish by noon and enjoy cooler, calmer conditions for your best round.

Transfers

Most booking agents include hotel transfers. This often works out cheaper than arranging your own taxi. Some courses offer free shuttles.

Stay Hydrated

Even in "cool" season, it's warm. Drink water every few holes. Most courses have snack kiosks and cold drinks available throughout.

What to Bring

Sunscreen, hat, extra balls (water hazards!), and rain gear in shoulder seasons. Club rental available at all courses if traveling light.
